Follow-up Research

“The influence of the readers’ linguistic background on the pleasure of reading translated literature – an eye-tracking study” financed by ID-UB Grant (049/34/UAM/0014)

A joined project realised in cooperation with Maria Kuczek (Principal Investigator) and Agata Kucharska (Co-Investigator).

The project started in May 2022 and lasted for a year. Its main aim was to investigate how enjoyable the experience of reading translated literary texts is, depending on the readers’ level of bilingual proficiency and translation training. We conducted an eye-tracking experiment at the Adam Mickiewicz University EYE-LANG Lab, and our findings were presented at the YLMP conference, during Research Day at Adam Mickiewicz University Faculty of English, and at the PLM conference.
