52nd Poznań Linguistic Meeting

During the 52nd Poznań Linguistic Meeting (PLM) Conference, which took place in Poznań between 13-15 September 2023, out team held a thematic session “Eye-tracking in reading research and translation reception studies“. The session was opened by our guest, Dr Callum Walker from the University of Leeds, who delivered a presentation titled “Experimental Studies of Translation Reception: Eye-tracking the Reader Experience of Style”. We also delivered a presentation titled “Language background of the reader as a factor in translation reception of popular fiction” reporting on our findings following the project financed by ID-IB Grant (049/34/UAM/0014) “The influence of the readers’ linguistic background on the pleasure of reading translated literature – an eye-tracking study”.
